Didier Drogba is on the verge of accepting the lucrative offer from FC Shanghai Shenhua but Real Madrid is providing an alternative for the former Chelsea striker to retain in Europe.

Chelsea's Champions League hero was very close with a move to China A League side but the club management issue has gave Drogba second thoughts.

Reportedly Jose Mourinho is keen to reunite with Drogba who was brought to Stamford Bridge by the Portuguese in 2004. Real Madrid has tabled 2 year contract for the 34 year old and awaiting the answer.
