Man City Quit Chasing Persie To Keep Dzeko Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is convinced that the race to sign van Persie is over and insisted Edin Dzeko will remain as City player.

Manchester City has been heavily linked with the Dutch striker but it's understood that the overloaded forwarders in the team will not allow any further striker signing unless the fringe players such as Adebayor and Santa Cruz are offloaded.

Roberto Mancini has also revealed that AC Milan and Juventus target Edin Dzeko will remain at city and will be given more time on pitch.

Manchester City remain bookies' favourite to win the 2012/13 Premier League with best odds of 2.25 at Betfred.
